We had to invest in 2 small fans to insert into the coop sides to make sure that there was air flow to keep the chickens cool while they were in the coop at night -2nd issue - This coop is only maybe close to 4 foot tall - and who the heck but a 5 year old can crawl into there to clean the coop or reach in to get your chickens - this is a kids size coop for small chickens again.3rd - there is no way to close the coop door for the chickens at night because the door is on the wrong side and there is no handle on the inside to pull the door closed - we are going to figure out how to put an automatic door on this so we don't have to worry about closing it manually - BAD design.4rd The nesting box roof is seriously warped - so much so that a snake or raccoon could reach in and grab my girls while they are nesting or get into my coop and eat eggs- bad design again - and tiny = the inside of the coop isn't large enough for 6 birds to roost let alone be inside -5th - The size of this coop isn't true for large birds - we kept thinking as we were putting it together that when our girls get full size this would not be the coop we could keep them in - we will need to purchase a new bigger coop because this one is too small and hard to get into.The directions were not bad to read, but the coop itself had to be sealed with polyurethane because the wood of the coop would have warped once it got wet in the Florida weather - we treated the coop inside and out.
